Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient


Tim Farazmand Chairs the Palatine Impact Fund; is a member of the LMS plc and Hazel Capital Investment Committees; and sits on the Advisory Boards of Gresham House and Beechbrook Capital as well as the family investment companies Westminster Group and Abercross. He also sits on the boards of ClearlySo, Europe’s leading impact investment bank, and the Ethical Property Company as an independent Non-Executive Director.

Tim has more than 30 years’ experience in mid-market private equity with 3i, Royal Bank of Scotland Private Equity and latterly LDC where he was a managing director. He is a past Chair of the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA) is a member of industry leading association’s Council. Mr. Farazmand is an economics graduate of the University of Cambridge.

Ian Bagshaw has been a Partner of White & Case LLP since 2014 where he is the co-head of both the Firm's Global and EMEA Private Equity Groups. He focuses primarily on Financial Investors and Corporates acquiring from Financial Investors. Mr. Bagshaw is consistently ranked amongst the most active M&A lawyers in the UK and has earned notable accolades for bringing a wealth of knowledge to his clients, allowing them to proceed confidently with their transactions. Mr. Bagshaw served as Head of Private Equity at Linklaters LLP until 2013 where he was a Partner since 2007. Prior to this appointment, he was a Partner of Clifford Chance LLP. He is a graduate of the College of Law, York and Sheffield University.



Richard Madden is the Chief Executive of DC Advisory UK. The performance of the Technology, Media & Telecoms (TMT) team – led by Richard - has been critical to the growth of DC Advisory. This has been further bolstered by the recent acquisition of two US investment banking boutiques which have a particular focus on technology and media. Richard has more than twenty years’ experience advising companies in both sectors. His experience covers debt and equity fundraising and M&A across Europe and in the United States. Prior to DC Advisory, Richard was a Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns and a Managing Director at ING Barings. He joined ING Barings from Arthur Andersen. He was also the non-executive Chairman of Group NBT plc which was sold to HgCapital in a public to private transaction in 2012. Richard is a Chartered Accountant and a Classics graduate from Jesus College, Cambridge.
